Data Reveals Women Face More Holiday Stress - Clementine Offers Calm

As the year’s end approaches, many women feel the stress creeping in. It’s not just Christmas—it’s the rush to buy gifts, pressure to get that advent calendar that’ll probably go to waste, and booking end-of-year parties. The mental load piles up fast, and it often falls hardest on women. Clementine’s new campaign is here to help women navigate all this chaos with calm, balance, and control.

Introducing: "Calm Before the Festive Storm"

Starting Monday 14th October, Clementine’s app will offer 10 weeks of free calming sessions leading up to Christmas. Instead of the usual 12-day countdown, they’re focusing on consistency, offering women the opportunity to take a mindful moment each week to find peace and grounding as the festive season approaches.

While about a third of Britons (30%) say the holidays don’t present any challenges to their health and well-being, a whopping two-thirds (67%) report that they do. Among the top concerns are high costs, with nearly half (49%) of respondents citing holiday expenses as a major source of stress. However, it’s the emotional and logistical strain of holiday chores that causes the most stress—particularly for women.

The data reveals a significant gender gap in holiday stress:

● More than a quarter of British women (28%) say that entertaining and prep work are major challenges, compared to just 18% of men.

● Women also report feeling more pressure when it comes to choosing gifts (29% vs. 22%) and managing family-related stress (28% vs. 21%).

These numbers suggest that women are carrying a disproportionate share of holiday duties, which can leave them feeling drained and overwhelmed by the time Christmas arrives.

Clementine’s "Calm Before the Festive Storm" campaign aims to provide relief.

Whether it’s managing holiday stress, carving out time for self-care, or simply surviving another chaotic family gathering, our sessions are designed to help women regain a sense of control over their well-being. And while overindulgence can be a part of the holiday season, only 20% of respondents report that having too much food is an issue, and just 10% are concerned about alcohol. The real challenge lies in balancing the seemingly endless to-do lists.

Each Monday, participants will receive two free sessions via the Clementine app, specifically tailored to address the various stressors that arise in the lead-up to Christmas. From guided

relaxation to mindful breathing, the sessions are designed to keep women grounded through small, consistent moments of self-care. In addition, Clementine will be offering weekly giveaways from amazing brands to encourage participation.

With a playful yet supportive theme, "Calm Before the Festive Storm" ensures that women aren’t just rolling into Christmas overwhelmed, but instead, are waltzing in with clarity and calm. The campaign's focus on weekly consistency highlights the importance of regular self-care to maintain mental well-being during one of the most hectic times of the year.
