fermata, Inc. announces partnership with Rosesta Medical BV
fermata, Inc., based in Japan, is proud to announce its partnership with Rosesta Medical BV in the Netherlands.
The FERTI·LILY Conception Cup will be available in Japan later this month (June 2021). The FERTI·LILY Conception Cup is a tool created to support couples trying to conceive naturally. It is a soft, easy-to-use silicone cup that is inserted into the vagina after ejaculation to push semen towards the cervix. FERTI·LILY Conception Cup will be available for purchase through fermata’s online store (hellofermata.com) and New Stand Tokyo (newstand.jp) starting late June.
Cervical caps intended for conception purposes did not exist in the Japanese market -- until now! fermata and Rosesta Medical have made history, creating a brand new “general term” in the Class I Medical Device category recognized by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA).
“It has been an aspiration of ours to be able to launch our product on the Japanese market since the very beginning of FERTI·LILY. The regulatory framework in Japan is traditionally very difficult to navigate, but fermata, Inc. has demonstrated its depth of experience by navigating us through this. We very much look forward to what this partnership brings.” - Robert Stal (CEO, Rosesta Medical BV)
“When my co-founder and I first established fermata, we started with a simple idea: to transform topics that are seen as taboo - such as fertility struggles - to triumphant moments of self-empowerment through femtech. An innovative yet simple solution like the Conception Cup does exactly that. We hope this product will allow more people in Japan to take reproductive healthcare into their own hands. We’re grateful for Robert and Roel’s faith in our team and are excited to be working with Rosesta in Japan. ” - Amina Sugimoto (CEO, fermata Inc.)
